Newspaper Index: Unidentified Decedents

This index is organized by topic/case. The articles below were either compiled together by someone else on a different site, or (much more frequently) are otherwise only available through a subscription, so I have opted to download them and put them here. My most frequently used databases for this purpose are NewsBank and NewspaperArchive. I am working on also uploading articles from Newspapers.com, which I formerly only hyperlinked clippings of to particular posts.

This list will be updated continuously. As of fall 2025, I have been focusing primarily on working on this index rather than on write-ups due to some of my subscriptions being through my university's library, so I want to gather as much from them as I can before I graduate. I have also been working on switching from the embedded pdfs to images so they can be successfully archived on the Wayback Machine; for now, the index consists of both pdfs and images.

An "article package" is one post containing multiple articles from different newspapers. Articles all on one victim or combination of victims from the same database are grouped together. Two asterisks (**) next to an index entry indicates the case has been solved and/or there has been a conviction in the case.
