Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Feb. 24, 2003

The following article lists some of the unidentified decedents in the state of Washington. Relevant cases mentioned here are those of King County Jane Doe July 1969, McKenna Jane Doe 1976, Pierce County Jane Doe 1978, Skagit County John Doe 1980, Olympia Jane Doe 1981, Seattle John Doe May 1984, and Spokane County Doe 1984, as well as North Bend John Doe 1983, and Spokane John Doe 1981.

Others that have since been identified are those of Martha Morrison (Clark County, 1974, solved), Elizabeth "Lisa" Roberts (Snohomish County, Aug. 1977, solved), Bill Nelson Church (Pierce County, Mar./Apr. 1978), Sandy Morden (Fly Creek Jane Doe, Clark County, 1980), Donald Pearson (Spokane, Jan. 1980), Michael Keith Roberts (Spokane, June 1983), Ruth Waymire (Spokane County, 1984), Mark L. Ashland (Seattle, Oct. 1984), and Wendy Marie Stephens (SeaTac, Mar. 1984, Green River victim).

The following are not listed on NamUs as of March 2026, indicating that they have either been identified or were never entered into the database in the first place, but I could not find who they are if they have been identified:

  • bones of a man found in Jefferson County on Jan. 1, 1975
  • the skeleton of a man found Apr. 14, 1977 in Franklin County
  • skeletal remains of a white male found in Pierce County on Dec. 31, 1978
