SDUT on Freeway Killings, Dec. 23, 1979

The following two articles were published together. Both concern the Freeway Killings, which were later determined to have been committed by William Bonin and Randy Kraft (the third Freeway Killer, Patrick Kearney, who is mentioned in the second article, had already been apprehended at the time of publication). Three unsolved murders are also included here: Joseph Daly, Walter Tanner, and Ralph Duane Davis.

#s 19, 23, and 24 in this list have since been identified as Mark Shelton, Frank Dennis Fox, and John Kilpatrick, respectively, whose murders have all been attributed to William Bonin. #s 17, 21, and 22 (Joseph Daly, Ralph Davis, and Walter Tanner) are still unsolved. The remaining eighteen victims in this list are all confirmed victims of Randy Kraft.
