Marin Independent Journal, May 8-9, 2005

The following two articles summarize unsolved homicides in Marin County from 1947 to 1974 and 1975 to 1980, respectively.

The most relevant cases in the first article are those of Barbara Jane Parkin, Leona LaRell Roberts, and Lynn Derrick. Others in the same source that are new to me and that I plan to look into are William E. Thomas, Peter Michael Noriega, Gary Andrew Kirstine, and Bradley Dale Wilson.

The fifth page of the second article provides information on Tammy Vincent, who went unidentified until 2007. Also mentioned are Roxene Rogasch and Pamela Jean Lambson, whose murders have since more-or-less been solved: Rogasch was killed by serial killer Joseph Naso, arrested in 2011, and Lambson's murder was eventually attributed to serial killer Rodney Alcala, though there has been recent speculation that she was instead another victim of Naso.

Other cases in the second article that are new to me and that I plan to look into are those of Melody Masters, Alicia Margaret Perez, Linda Susan Murray Pallett, Jerry Wayne Haberle, Edwin Williams Jr, and Marin County John Doe Aug. 1976, as well as an unidentified woman found near Slide Ranch on January 1, 1977; while further research is needed, it's possible that this instead refers to a woman found in 1994.
