The following article concerns murders in Contra Costa County that were unsolved at the time of publishing. Relevant cases are those of Elaine Davis, Patricia Ann King, Barbara Bates Keenan, Lisa Dickinson, Cosette Ellison, Anna S Aarons, and Clara Stella Anderson.

Furthermore, three of the mentioned cases have since been solved: William James Freeman was murdered by serial killer Charles Ray Hatcher, and Maureen Field and Letitia Fagot were victims of serial killer Philip Joseph Hughes.
